Create Change Chesterfield- A sustainable plan for delivery

In my previous blog post I was pleased to announce that I have begun a collaboration with Community Chesterfield part of the local charity, Derbyshire Voluntary Action . We have been busy working away, creating a vision for delivery for the Create Change Chesterfield project. It was thrilling to be able to take part in my own 'future visioning' exercise and explore both the ambitions and the practical aspects of bringing the ideas to life. An Interest In Place-Based Action

Create Change Chesterfield was recently featured in the RSA Journal. This issue of the journal had a focus on place-based action. Create Change Chesterfield is a project led by Clare Gage FRSA. It aims to create a community of changemakers in Chesterfield to support positive action in the town. The project began with a community event held in March 2019 supported by The RSA. Following on from this there were 2 more events with a forth planned for March 2020 which was cancelled due to the coronavirus lockdown. I launched Create Change Chesterfield driven by a personal hope to create a positive change in our world. I wanted to reach out to others to talk about how we could all create change in our own way. I felt strongly that the way to support action from individuals was to offer opportunities for the community to come together, to share their hopes and to offer mutual support to one another. Next steps...local collaboration!

3rd March 2023 I’m really pleased to be able to share the news that in the coming months I will be collaborating with Derbyshire Voluntary Action on a new exciting project. I will be picking up where I left off with my work on Create Change Chesterfield and developing the idea of building a community of Changemakers in our town. This builds on the fantastic work that Community Chesterfield have been delivering for the last 3 years. There’s a lot to be considered and I’m excited to see the ideas develop! We are at the start of exploring how this seed of an idea can grow into a supported community within our town. At the heart will be a commitment to collaboration and a creative response to building confidence in our abilities to #CreateChange It’s wonderful to have already found great collaborators with Community Chesterfield and Derbyshire Voluntary Action. We’re now ready to establish more support for this project. We’ll be looking for partners in #chesterfield and beyond so if
